Comments:-
Well it was another rush  to get everything into place for the day particularly as I had been out of the country three days before the event. As usual everything went smoothly thanks to a lot of support from the backup team. Matters were not helped when my computer crashed before I was able to print my various lists! Many thanks to Rob Pollard who has loaned me a PC so that I can process these results and get the preparation done for the next event.
On to more important matters:- The mid Week Series will now consist of five events and you will need four scores to count in the final places. This is the best decision we could come to bearing in mind all the problems with F&M. My current thinking is;
Fourth Mid-Week Guisborough Grunt 10K Monday 3.9.01. GRUFC. 7.15 prompt. Reverse route.
Fifth And final Mid-Week Tuesday 18.9.01. The Three Hills Uphill Mile. Time Trial. Start times from 7.00 at one minute intervals.  You may run in groups. Last start 7.30..Start will be Hutton Village Gate Finish at rear of Highcliff.
Winter Series will start on Sunday 14th October 10.30a.m. Probably Pinchinthorpe Plod.
Winter ‘2’ Will be Guisborough Three Tops. This will be North East Championship 2001.
( please note that Lordstones/Wainstones has been cancelled) Sunday 18th. November  GRUFC
Winter ‘3’ Guisborough Woods Thursday 27th December 12.00 Noon GRUFC.
Winter ‘4’ Captain Cooks ? 11.00 am 1.1.02. Great Ayton. This may be a road race if we can’t make other arrangements.
We are currently looking at The White Horse area for a March fixture. The Castleton area for a February fixture and would appreciate comments and positive suggestions. I can not get any indication of when the moor is likely to be open.
Assuring you of my best intentions at all times.
