Comments:

With the whole field off course taking about 3 to 4 minutes (?) off expected times in the area beyond Rosedale intake times were not valid. As no-one did the small loop to the north of Rosedale it was a case of either disqualifying everyone or no-one. So being the kind people we are everyone counted. I dread to think what might have happened if runners well behind the main pack had claimed the race as I would have had to support them. Nevertheless the charm of Yorkshire and the good natured even if tough competition, made it a pleasant and enjoyable event. Joe Blackett came through to win particularly as the other three competitors let him back in when dithering over navigation. This played right into Joe's hands as descending is his strong suit and the finish is that way! A welcome return for Angela Hall in the Summer series saw a comfortable win for her.
