Comments. This was the first of The Summer Series such as it might be. Please give me a ring or consult the web site on www.mandaleharriers.com for further information. It is a formative situation at present and I am working on a three week window. Bear in mind I need to book a centre, consult National Parks, get a permit from Forest Enterprise, obtain landowners/ agents permission and obtain a Northern Counties multi-terrain permit. This leaves little time. Once restrictions are lifted we can return to schedule and find a gap for ‘The Moors Race!’ The next event, should all go smoothly (which I anticipate it will) will be The Guisborough Gallump on Tuesday 24th July 2001, 7.15pm. Guisborough Rugby Club. Approx 12K. Hope to see you there.
Well it was a done race after one lap as positions didn’t really alter much after check point three (end of lap one). Congratulations to those who won in their category, as these are records for a new event. The current thinking is that this will replace the Guisborough Woods three lap course in December and I would welcome comments on this proposal, although in bad weather we might need to use the shorter route!
Best Wishes
