What a GRAND Day!! My sincere thanks to all of you that took part and those of you that supported at check points and fed every one at the finish. I couldn't run the event without you.
At Highcliff Nab, Marco had a lead of 6
minutes over the large bunch of Simon Deakin, Paul Figg, Andy Henderson,
Martin Webb, Andy Brear, and Jonathan Kibble and by Roseberry, Marco 's
lead had increased to 7 minutes over Andy, Paul and Simon.
By Southbrook Farm same positions but
Marco's lead was lead down to 5 minutes.
At Percy Cross Rigg road end - Marco arrived
at 1025, Andy 1028, Simon and Paul 1029, Andy Brear 1035 and John
Goodwin 1037.
Marco retired, so by
Commondale before the climb out, Andy had a 2 minute lead over Simon (1054
and 1056) - with Paul on 1057, Andy Brear on 1105, Jon Goodwin and Mark
Willis at 1109 and Martin Webb and Jonathan Kibble at 1110hrs.
Approaching Lingdale Village
Hall, Simon overtook
Andy along the road into the village but both came within a minute of each
other with Paul 15 minutes behind, John G and Andy
Brear 3 mins behind him and Mark Willis 1
minute behind them.
Jill King
ps the guy who fell on Roseberry drove home
and arrived safely - he damaged a quad but
he's getting better by the day
